Grace Chapman
playing a graphite Stick Bass
with ACTV-2™ Block
active EMG pickup module
Our 8-string switchable stereo/mono fretboard tapping instrument is
favored by people who want to play bass parts. The fretboard is the
same width as the original Stick, with a wider string spacing because
it has fewer strings. Each new instrument features our latest
adjustable components for easy
setup. A wide variety of ordering options allow
you to customize your instrument with your choice of exotic hardwood
laminates, tunings, string gauges, pickup configurations, MIDI, and
even the inlay material.
The SB8 also offers two basic inlay pattern options.
Dots in the bass guitar pattern (see right),
available in white pearl, abalone or paua
(also black pearl on maple
Sticks).
Lines in the regular "Stick" pattern of 4ths,
with all acrylic colors available.
In addition to the basic package, we also recommend that our customers
get Emmett's Free Hands instruction book and/or Greg
Howard's The Stick Book, Volume One™. For more
information about these books see
instructional materials.
