We offer a choice of shell inlays on all Stick instrument orders. Options include paua shell with brilliant blue and green patterns, white pearl with lustrous swirls, abalone with warm pastel iridescence, black pearl with smoky refracted pearlescence, and our new mineral-based "turquoise" stone. Each Stick is inlayed with four equal sized 1/2" diameter shell dots starting at the second fret space and repeating every five frets (in perfect 4th intervals) along the fretboard. In addition, we also offer linear inlays on all Stick models at the same intervals, and a bass guitar dot inlay pattern on the Stick Bass (SB8).

Inlays are functional and decorative. High contrast improves visibility in low light conditions, so players should base their decisions on wood/inlay combinations that appeal to them aesthetically, and will give them the visual reference points they need.
