Frets
Ever since the Stick went into production, Emmett has continued to improve the frets used on his instruments. In 1985, Emmett's Fret Rods replaced the original jumbo guitar frets. Then in 2000, the new, patented Fret Rails™, precision tapping frets, were added as an option giving players a choice between two kinds of frets. Today, Rails are the standard on all new Sticks (except the NS/Stick which continues to have jumbo guitar frets), and Fret Rods have been discontinued. Customers may request that the Rails have the normal rounded pyramial top or that they receive extra rounding to more resemble the Rods. Please specify this when ordering.
