Audiophile progressive rock label Think Tank
Media has just released veteran Stickist Don Schiff's
Peering Over Clouds.
Don's new recording of progressive rock instrumentals features his amazing
signature NS/Stick playing together with
percussion by Greg Ellis, and was produced by
Eric Norlander of Rocket
Scientists fame. If early reviews are any indication, Peering Over
Clouds will give the progressive music world a well-deserved look at
Don's diverse talents as a writer, performer and improviser.

Fans of Don's work with Lana Lane, dubbed the "Queen of Symphonic Rock,"
should check out the new DVD:
Storybook: Tales from Europe and Japan. About which Don says, "It's once
again me and my pal the NS touring with Lana Lane and playing through some
heavy symphonic rock from 1997-2003 tours. AND act now! or act latter as it
will still include candid interviews and behind the scenes stuff. You believe
it... no shots of me eating donuts!!! they must have run out of film, I gave
them plenty of opportunity!"
Also new from Lana Lane is the double live CD
Lana Lane - Return to Japan.
This August 27 and 28, Don will be performing and teaching at the
2005 Southern
California Stick Seminar in Oceanside, California (near San Diego). This
is a great opportunity to get some instruction from Don on the NS/Stick and
Stick, and also to study with Tom Griesgraber and Greg Howard, as well as
check out Don, Tom, Greg and special guest Emmett Chapman in concert.
Always reaching out into diverse musical arenas, Don is planning two new CDs
in the upcoming year, one he says is in the 'smooth jazz' realm and the other
will be a vocal CD. And he says Think Tank is working on a Don Schiff DVD.
Stay tuned...
