The first four are based on the same pattern with defferent eq settings. The first is an SWR-SM-400 bass head, which has a tube preamp. The second is the Rane SP-13 transistor Stick Preamp. All of the saples were "normalized" with the melody samples then bumped down 1.5 dB to match the bass sample levels more accurately. No other processing was used. The files were then bounced straight to mp3 format. The instrument chosen was a new bamboo instrument with light gauge strings and the standard Stickup passive pickup.
